New staff join CAEPR working on the Zero Carbon Energy for the Asia Pacific
Monday 1 July 2019

Brad Riley joins the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research (CAEPR) as a Research Fellow working on the Energy Change Institutes’s (ECI) Grand Challenge : Zero Carbon Energy for the Asia Pacific https://energy.anu.edu.au/eci-grand-challenge. Brad has previously held positions with the Centre for Appropriate and Bushlight, and has worked extensively with communities in North West Australia to implement renewable energy, demand management and energy efficiency initiatives.

Together with Professor Janet Hunt, Brad recently attended a two day workshop at ANU’S Kioloa campus where researchers could present the latest findings in renewable energy research and interact with colleagues with a view to developing new collaborative research questions.

Camille Schloeffel is an intern with the Aurora Project and will be working with our team three days a week for the next 4 weeks. Camille is in the final year of a Bachelor of Development Studies (Human Rights and Indigenous Studies) and has a keen interest in community development and policy research. She will be doing background research on the history of Indigenous engagement with renewable technologies in Australia.
